How many people know the maker of the pistol versus the brand of the pistol. Example the general public is "smitten" by Dan Wessons, but they are made by one of the lowend company known as Wingun. Features are: Lack of functioning hop-up Horrible accuracy Soft allow parts that fail under the pressure of CO2 Other than price point...can anyone give a strong point for this model? So as a consumer...do you not deserve better? Easter Egg - c2.staticflickr.com/2/1645/24616074804_864d936790_c.jpg

This is actually what happens alot with what is going on with pistols in the US, including AEGs, because Cybergun, which owns Palco Sports in the US is a distributor of alot of different replicas. So alot of people thing "I have a colt 1911 from Cybergun" but they don't actually make it themselves, since they are just the distributor. There is background research that kind of needs to get done with some of them it seems like, but that is just how it is right now, since, at least in America, alot of people are on this kick of "we don't want Chinese products", but alot of the airsoft guns are imports from China, Japan and Taiwan.

Oh we know all about CYB.
Not to mention Umarex and a few others.
Due to CYB and others driving a brand name into the mud...some of the license holders have pulled their venture with the airsoft companies and some are going to do it themselves and remove it from the licencor market place.
