I have recently been promised one of these by a friend, and since it is my first airsoft gun ever, more specifically being a GBB pistol, I was wondering what I should start out doing with it as soon as I get it. I am unsure of the overall condition and want to make sure that it is in proper working order, including the 3-4 magazines I am getting, but don't know where to start at all. I'm assuming I would have to disassemble it first and formost, and clean it out, and then lube, but beyond that is there anything I need to keep in mind, since I haven't worked with GBBs or even AEGs at this point. And is there any recommendations on what type of grease I should use with this as well?

Get it first and see...no need to worry about it until you get it.
It's going to be expensive to run. CO2 is not cheap.
When you get it post a picture and get lots of CO2 jets ready...it its defective, or has leaky mags your going to eat jets until you sort it out.
This is the Major disadvantage of Co2 guns.
And tthe second issue is that this is also made by KWC. Their alloys are not great, durable or shock friendly.

None of the mags leak, I actually have it taken apart right now because it has some clay stuck to some of the metal parts, so I'm just cleaning that up with some rubbing alcohol. When I have it cleaned up I'll post a pic. Need to get some silicon oil though before I use it, since it looks like the previous owner used some kind of graphite based lubricant.
Edit: Asked a friend in the air force before cleaning to make sure. Only using the alcohol on the plastic parts. Gonna use WD40 as he suggested.

Not NOT listen to the Air Force guy.
You want a gun grease not an OIL. DO not use WD40, do NOT use Silicone oil. None of those items are proper lubricants.
There is a misconception in Airsoft. It is the misinformed spreading improper techniques on proper maintenance.
Use a gun grease.
